Email Forwarding lets you automatically send copies of incoming emails from your regular email account (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) to your 53 Degrees OS inbox.
This enables message synchronisation so conversations appear in your 53 Degrees OS Inbox.
You can manage and reply to customer email threads directly from 53 Degrees OS, while keeping the original chain intact in your email client.
Ensure you can access your email client’s forwarding settings (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Yahoo).
Have your unique 53 Degrees OS forwarding address ready.
Go to the Email Forwarding section in 53 Degrees OS /settings/integrations/email-forwarding.
Copy your unique forwarding address.
Follow the steps for your provider. If your provider isn’t listed, use these as a guide.
Open Gmail Settings → See all settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
Click Add a forwarding address and paste your 53 Degrees OS email.
Confirm and complete the verification sent to the email in your business settings.
Return to Forwarding and POP/IMAP to select Forward a copy of incoming mail to your 53 Degrees OS address.
Optional: Set Gmail to archive Gmail’s copy to keep your inbox tidy.

A verification email may be sent to the address in your Business Settings. Follow the steps in that email to verify.
If you don’t receive it, check your spam folder or contact support.
After verification, return to your email client’s settings to finalise and enable forwarding.
You can reply to emails via your 53 Degrees OS Inbox.
Ensure replies are sent using the same email address you configured for forwarding so messages sync back to the original thread.
If you update your organisation slug in Organisation Management, your unique forwarding address will change.
Update your email client’s forwarding settings with the new 53 Degrees OS email address immediately to avoid sync interruptions.
Any forwarded emails without a contact form response ID are automatically synced into your default “Enquiries” form.
If 53 Degrees OS sets a subject for you, do not change it. Leaving the subject as set ensures your emails and customer responses are correctly matched and synced.
We recommend forwarding from the address set in your Business Settings (e.g., [email protected]).
You may set up multiple forwarding addresses (e.g., [email protected]).
Note
All direct emails that are not initiated via a contact form will sync to your default “Enquiries” form, regardless of the sending address used.
Auto-archive forwarded emails in your email client to reduce clutter.
Create a label/folder and filter (e.g., “Forwarded to 53 Degrees OS”) so you can track what’s been relayed.
Avoid modifying system-inserted headers or subjects in forwarded threads.
If you use SPF, DKIM, or DMARC, ensure normal delivery to your 53 Degrees OS address isn’t blocked by strict forwarding policies.
If you rotate inbox addresses or aliases, remember to add each one as a forwarding source in its respective client.
