Getting Started: Part One

A quick start guide to setting up your 53°, adding your first customer, and managing your deals & tasks.

Business Settings

53° needs a few core details to tailor your workspace to your organisation.

Completing Business Settings first ensures correct time zone handling, deal currency formatting, and accurate public contact information across the app.

Accessing Business Settings

After creating an organisation, you’ll land on Business Settings automatically. You can revisit any time via Settings → Business Settings.

Organisation Details

  • Public Email Address:
Enter a general, public-facing inbox (e.g. [email protected]). Avoid personal addresses; this may be visible on outward communications and public-facing areas.


  • Phone Number:
Choose your country code, then enter your main business number.

  • Website:
Add your company website to appear in relevant profiles and communications.

  • Bio: Summarise what your organisation does in 1–3 sentences for quick context.

Address and Locale

  • Address:
Enter your street, city, region, and postcode for records and documents.

  • Country: Sets location defaults and may influence formatting.

  • Currency:
Select the default (e.g. £ for the UK). Used for deals and reporting.

  • Time Zone:
Determines how timestamps and due dates are displayed and how recurring tasks are scheduled.

Tax Information

  • VAT/Tax Code:
Add your VAT number or other tax identifier if applicable. Appears on documents where needed.

Save and Next Steps

Click Save to unlock the rest of 53°.
You can update settings at any time; changes apply globally.
