53 Degrees has 3 main parts: the sidebar on the left to move between areas, your page in the middle, and the actions sidebar on the right for the things you reach for all day. Here's what's where.
From top to bottom:
- Your organisation. Select its name to open the organisation menu: Manage organisation (owners and admins), Switch organisation, Invitations if you have any waiting, and Create new organisation.
- The main areas: Dashboard, Mission Control, Planner, Contacts, Sales (Deals and Proposals) and Reports. You only see the areas your role gives you access to.
- Projects. Your pinned projects, and View All for the full list.
- Help: Support, Help Docs and Feedback. See Get help.
- Getting Started, while your organisation's checklist is open (owners only).
- You. Select your name for Manage account, Theme and Log out.
To hide or show the sidebar, select the sidebar button at the top left, or press ⌘B (Ctrl+B on Windows).
Open the project.
Select Project actions (the ⋮ button) at the top, then Pin project.
You can pin up to 3 projects. To remove one, hover over it in the sidebar, select the More button (⋯) and choose Unpin Project. The same menu has View Project and Delete Project.
Along the top of every page:
- Breadcrumbs show where you are. Select any earlier step to go back to it.
- Search opens the command palette. See Search and shortcuts.
- Activity shows who's in your organisation, who's active now and when others were last seen, with a shortcut to message them. It's hidden if you're the only person in your organisation.
- Create new adds a Task, Contact, Project or Deal. You only see the options your role allows.
The right-hand sidebar keeps your everyday tools one click away, whatever page you're on. Choose a tab along its top:
- Tasks: your organisation's tasks.
- Chat: conversations with your team.
- Docs: your organisation's documents.
- Files: your organisation's files.
- Logs: a timeline of changes across your organisation.
- Notifications: what needs your attention. See Notifications.
A dot on Chat or Notifications means something new is waiting. The sidebar remembers the last tab you used.
Press ⌘J (Ctrl+J on Windows) to open or close it. On smaller screens it opens over the page from Actions in the header.
Your dashboard
Dashboard is your home page. It shows:
- The Getting Started checklist while it's open, then your Mission Control card in its place.
- Today, from your planner: what's on now and what's up next.
- Any report cards you've pinned with Pin to dashboard on the Reports page. Drag them into the order you like.
On your phone
On a small screen, the header's controls move to a toolbar at the bottom: Dashboard, Search, Actions, Activity and Create new (the + button). Once you scroll, a Back to top button joins it.
Good to know
- Your layout choices, such as whether each sidebar is open, follow you across browsers. See Profile and preferences.
- The version number at the bottom of each page opens what's new in 53 Degrees.
