Your pipeline is the ordered list of stages a deal moves through, from first contact to signed. Shaping it around how you actually sell makes the board read true, and gives your reports an honest weighted value.
Only owners and admins can change the pipeline. Everyone else sees it read-only. See Members and roles.
Select your organisation's name at the top of the sidebar and choose Manage organisation.
Under Settings, choose Deals.
The Pipeline tab opens first.
You'll see your Open stages, with a count out of 10, and the Closed stages below them.
New organisations start with 4 open stages (Lead, Prospect, Proposal and Negotiation) and 3 closed ones (Won, Lost and On hold).
Choose Add Stage.
Type the stage name, then press Enter or choose Add Stage again.
The new stage goes to the end of your open stages. Drag it to where it belongs.
Rename: edit the name in its row. It saves when you click away.
Recolour: choose the colour swatch at the start of the row and pick a colour.
Reorder: drag a stage by its handle. Only open stages move, and they always sit before the closed ones.
Each deal stage has a percentage: how likely a deal in that stage is to be won. Type a whole number from 0 to 100 in the % box on the row. It saves when you click away. Closed stages show theirs but can't be changed.
Win probability feeds Weighted pipeline in Reports: the value of the deals in each open stage multiplied by that stage's chance of winning, added up.
Choose the delete button at the end of the stage's row.
Choose Delete to confirm.
This can't be undone. Move any deals out of the stage first, so none are left without one.
You can have up to 10 open stages. At 10, Add Stage is greyed out until you delete one.
A pipeline must keep at least 1 open stage, so the last one can't be deleted.
Won, Lost and On hold are locked: you can't rename, recolour, reorder or delete them. 53° relies on them to know when a deal is won or lost, to ask for a lost reason, to start projects and to keep proposals in step.
The reasons offered when a deal is lost live on the Lost reasons tab next door. Choose Add Reason to add one. Built-in reasons show System and can be renamed but not deleted, and a reason some deals still use can't be deleted until they're changed.
Tasks and projects have their own pipelines, set up the same way under Settings → Tasks and Settings → Projects. Only deal stages have a win probability.
