Tags are coloured labels you put on your work, like "Marketing" on a task or "Referral" on a deal. They let you slice a list the way your team thinks about it, without changing its pipeline.
Each kind of record has its own set of tags: tasks, projects, docs, files, contacts and deals. A "Marketing" tag for tasks is separate from a "Marketing" tag for docs. One set covers both people and companies.
New organisations start with some example tags you can rename or delete:
Docs also have a Notes tag and files an Invoice tag. These are marked System: 53 Degrees relies on them, so you can recolour them but not rename or delete them.
Open the task, project, doc, file, contact or deal.
Choose Add Tag.
Pick one or more tags from the list. Type to search.
To take a tag off, choose the × on it.
When you're creating a task, project, contact or deal, you can pick tags in the form as you go. In a new task's title, type # to pick a tag without leaving the keyboard.
In a list of tasks, projects, docs, files, contacts or deals, tick the rows you want.
Open Actions.
Choose Add tag or Remove tag, then the tag.
Only the tag you chose changes. Any other tags on those rows stay as they are.
In the list, open Filter.
Choose Tags, then tick the tags you want to see.
Remove the filter with the × on its chip above the list.
Owners and admins look after the tag lists. Everyone else can see them but not change them.
Select your organisation's name at the top of the sidebar and choose Manage organisation.
Under Settings, open Tasks, Projects, Docs, Files, Contacts or Deals.
Open the Tags tab.
From there:
Owners and admins can also create a tag on the spot: type a name that doesn't exist yet in the tag picker and choose Create. To rename or recolour a tag without leaving your work, click the tag itself.
