The activity log is a timeline of what's happened in your organisation: who created, changed or deleted a project, task, doc, file, contact or deal, and when. It's the quickest way to catch up after time away, or to find out what happened to something.
In the actions sidebar on the right, choose Logs. If the sidebar is closed, press ⌘J on Mac or Ctrl+J on Windows.
Scroll down to load older entries.
Each entry shows who made the change, what they did and when. Where there's more to see, choose Show more to list the fields that changed, from the old value to the new one.
When you're on a project, contact or deal, the Logs panel opens on its own history.
Project Activity (or Contact Activity, Deal Activity) shows changes to that record. For a project, this includes its tasks, docs and files.
All Activity shows everything in your organisation.
On the projects, contacts or deals list, the second tab is All Projects (or All Contacts, All Deals) and covers every record of that type.
Choose Filter & sort at the top of the panel.
Filter by:
Activity: Created, Updated, Deleted, or an interaction someone recorded by hand (Email, Phone call, Meeting or Message).
Person: who did it.
Type: Projects, Tasks, Documents, Files, Milestones, Stages, Contacts or Deals.
Sort by Date: Newest first or Oldest first.
Your filters apply to every tab in the panel.
The Activity button in the top toolbar shows everyone in your organisation, whether they're Active now, and how long ago everyone else was last seen.
Choose Activity in the toolbar.
To message someone, choose the chat icon beside their name. The conversation opens in the Chat panel.
The button only appears once your organisation has at least 2 members.
Every change is recorded automatically. You can't add, edit or delete a change entry by hand, so the log stays a true record.
You can record an email, call, meeting or message against a contact yourself. See Contacts.
Entries are kept for 30 days.
You only see activity for records you have access to.
Moving tasks around on your planner isn't logged: your planned slots are your own diary.
