The planner is your own day and week, from today to a week ahead. Drag the tasks assigned to you onto a time to decide when you'll do them, see your Google Calendar meetings alongside, and tick each one off as you finish. Planning a task doesn't change its due date: the due date is the deadline, and the planner is when you mean to do the work.
Choose Planner in the sidebar.
The Unscheduled tray beside the grid lists the tasks you haven't planned yet, soonest due first.
Find the task in the Unscheduled tray, on the Assigned to you tab.
Drag it onto a time. It's planned for 1 hour to start with.
To change how long, drag the bottom edge of the block. To move it, drag the block.
Drop a task on a day's heading to put it in the first free gap that day, around what's already planned and your meetings.
Times snap to 15 minutes.
The Unassigned tab lists open tasks nobody has taken on. Drag one onto the planner to plan it, and it's assigned to you at the same time.
You can only pick up a task you're allowed to edit. See Tasks.
Give it a Title, and check the Day, Start and Length. You can also set Repeat. Choose Create task. The task is assigned to you and already planned. It must end by midnight.
Blocks that have finished, and done tasks, are greyed out. When you tick off the last thing planned for today, you'll see Planner complete for today.
A task you planned for an earlier day but didn't finish shows under Reschedule at the top of the tray. Drag it onto the planner to plan it again, or onto the tray to clear its old slot.
Link Google Calendar to see your meetings on the planner. If you haven't linked one, choose Link your Google Calendar at the top of the planner. For more, including which calendars to show, see Integrations.
If Google stops letting 53 Degrees read your calendar, the button changes to Reconnect Google Calendar.
