Most of your proposals say similar things: who you are, how you work, what things cost. A template keeps that ready, so each new proposal starts from your best version rather than a blank page, and your team quotes the same way.
Owners, admins and managers can create, edit, duplicate and delete templates. Everyone who can create a proposal can start one from a template. See Members and roles.
You make a template from a proposal, so write one you're happy with first.
Open the proposal and choose Save as template.
Under Save as, choose A new template.
Give it a Name and, if it helps, a Description of when to use it.
Choose Save template.
The template keeps the document as it stands: the hero, the page content, the priced lines and the wording. It doesn't keep the deal, the recipients or the currency.
Save as template waits while the proposal is saving, because the template copies what's saved.
To replace a template with a newer proposal:
Open the proposal and choose Save as template.
Choose Replace an existing template.
Pick the Template to replace.
Choose Replace template.
The template keeps its name and description.
Go to Proposals and choose Templates. Each template shows its description, how many line items it has and when it was last updated.
If you can see templates but not change them, the editor says You can read this template but not change it.
Open the deal and choose New proposal.
Choose Use a template.
Pick the template and choose Continue. If you only have 1 template, it's used straight away.
The new proposal is a copy, so change whatever this deal needs. Prices come across as they are in the template, in your organisation's current currency.
